Do you offer a free consultation?

We offer free phone consults with our expert dog trainers to help you determine the best training program for you and your dog. We assess your dog during the first few minutes of your first lesson. This tells us so much more about the dog than just meeting with you and talking. It also gives us the ability to recommend the best possible scenario for working with your dog moving forward.

How much does training cost?

The cost varies by class and is listed on the website with each class description.

I have more than one dog. Can I bring multiple dogs to class at the same time?

Absolutely! If you don't have a spouse, partner, or friend who can join you to help with the dogs, plan to bring a travel pen or crate along so that the dog you're not working with has a safe space to hang out in.

Do you train all breeds, shapes, and sizes?

We train dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Whether your dog is a tiny Chihuahua or a large Mastiff, we have the experience and expertise to work with them.

Do you work with aggressive dogs?

Yes. Working with and controlling aggression is one of our specialties and is commonly dealt with during our Follow-Through package.

Does your dog need a little extra work before joining a group class?

Whether you're dealing with reactivity, a stubborn streak, or just want a solid foundation, TRN 100 The Follow-Through 1-on-1 Training Program gives you the tools, support, and accountability to follow through.

Upon completion of 1-on-1 training, proceed to OBD 101 Foundations First.*

*with trainer recommendation, you may be able to skip this class and proceed to the next level.

Our OBD 101 Foundations First (Level 1 Obedience) course covers essential skills like sit, down, stay, recall, leave it, place, loose leash walking, and polite social behavior. We also discuss common behavior challenges and offer plenty of real-world distractions to practice around. It’s the perfect starting point for building communication and structure with your dog.

Upon completion of OBD 101 Foundations First, proceed to the next steps below.

Does your dog need a little confidence boost or exposure to new situations?

In CB 101 Be Brave (Level 1 Confidence Builder), we gently introduce dogs to new textures, obstacles, sounds, and experiences in a way that feels safe, fun, and encouraging. We help dogs learn to think instead of react, explore instead of shut down, and trust both their handler and themselves when something feels unfamiliar.

While it's not a requirement to take CB 101 Be Brave prior to other Level 1 classes, we strongly encourage it.

Or, if your dog is fairly confident already and you're looking to continue with obedience,

our OBD 200 Beyond the Basics (Level 2 Obedience) should be next on your list.

When you take your dog for a walk, does he or she spend most of the time with their nose to the ground?

Check out ST 101 The Nose Knows (Level 1 Scent Work). Scent work taps into your dog’s natural instincts, turning their amazing sense of smell into a fun and rewarding activity.

Allowing a dog to sniff is huge for mental enrichment. If your dog is getting physical exercise but not enough mental stimulation, this course is a great way to engage your dog's brain. It's also a great outlet for dogs that were actually bred to sniff as a job but don't get the opportunity in their daily lives.

Whether you're training for sport or just looking for a new activity to share with your dog, scent training will build focus, confidence, and teamwork — one sniff at a time.

Is your dog still a little timid and unsure of itself when around strangers or in new and unfamiliar settings?

Continue to build on the skills you gained in CB 101 Brave Beginnings. Our Confidence Builder series is designed for shy, nervous, or easily distracted dogs who need a little extra support. Through gentle guidance and positive reinforcement, we help your dog feel more secure in new situations — so they can face the world with a wag and a smile.

CB 200 Be Braver (Level 2) is the next step to take.

After that, sign up for our CB 300 Be the Bravest (Level 3), and watch how you both thrive.

Is your dream to be able to let your dog run off-leash and know they'll always come back to you?

Our e-collar classes focus on clarity, consistency, and communication — not force. Using low-level, modern technology and positive reinforcement, we teach you how to safely and effectively incorporate e-collars as part of a well-rounded training plan that enhances your dog’s freedom and responsiveness in real-world settings.

Your first step to freedom begins with EC 101 Intro to E-collars (Level 1).

When you've mastered that, sign up for EC 200 Unleashed Potential (Level 2).

Do you think your dog has a future as a therapy animal for seniors or school kids?

Obedience isn't just making sure your dog can sit, stay, and heel. It's about strengthening the communication bond between you and your dog. Whether its reliable recall, polite walking manners, or long-duration "place" training, our obedience courses help to prepare you for the official AKC Canine Good Citizen test.

Your next class in this course is OBD 200 Beyond the Basics (Level 2).

Once you've successfully completed Level 2, you'll be ready for OBD 300 Out and About (Level 3).

While it's not a requirement, we strongly encourage dogs to complete the Confidence Builder series — CB 101 Be Brave, CB 200 Be Braver, and CB 300 Be the Bravest — before enrolling in this class.
