From the Principal

By now most of you have heard about Avery's Law, which is now in effect. If you haven't, here's a link to read about it.

The goal is simple: keep people safe and hold dog owners more accountable.

But here’s what I want you to take away from it …

This is about preparation, communication, and responsibility.

Dogs are animals. They get scared. They get excited. They make decisions in the moment.

And without guidance, structure, and clear communication … things can escalate quickly when a dog doesn't know how to handle it.

That’s why training matters now more than ever.

Not just sit and down. But real life skills.

Recall when it matters.

Walking calmly past distractions.

Understanding how to handle new situations.

Building confidence instead of chaos.

Because the truth is, most situations that turn into problems … started small.

As a trainer, my goal has always been to help you understand your dog, build trust, and prevent those situations before they ever happen.

So, for the rest of 2026, all OBD 101 Foundations First group class prices will be lowered to $120 to encourage you to make the first move. Your dog deserves more than guessing, frustration, or chaos. They deserve clear communication, structure, and training that sets them up for success. And you deserve a confident, predictable dog you can trust in the real world.

Let’s set you and your dogs up for success.
